Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Consultations will normally take place in the surgery. If you feel your medical condition requires a Home Visit, please ring before 10.30 to allow us to plan effectively. You may be contacted by a Doctor by phone to confirm that such a visit is appropriate and necessary. Children in particular are best brought to the surgery as they generally cool down when taken outside and we can examine them more effectively. We can see 3 patients in the surgery in the time taken for one visit.

We can only visit you at your registered address.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
