Clinics & Services

scopePlease note that our priority is the provision of NHS services and your health. Additional services we offer may not be immediately available in certain circumstances so please check with Reception regarding availability first.

Cervical Smears

All women aged 25 to 50 yrs who have not had a hysterectomy should have regular cervical smears every three years. For women aged 50 – 65 the interval should be every five years. If possible please see the practice nurse for these to be done. Contrary to common belief, your sexual orientation does not affect the need for regular smears.

If you do not want to have a smear and want to opt out this time or be removed from the screening list, please complete the form and return it to us.  If at any time you change your mind and want a smear done, do not hesitate to contact the surgery.
